The video will be in an iframe, but you can apply all the usual CSS tricks to that iframe - opacity, transforms, etc. ![]() This is pretty much the only issue there's no weird fragmenting or artifacting and no buffering once the video has loaded, it's just this really long delay before the video boots in that's becoming really frustrating. As this is IE11 in Windows 10, I also have Flash Player installed, and I have no problems viewing videos on any site in Flash. its not a flash player problem (because youtube doesnt use flash player). I've checked all my drivers, cleaned out my cache (which is done by default when exiting IE anyway), and even tried Reset Internet Explorer Options. It doesn't happen every time, but I would say it probably happens around 75% of the time every once in a blue moon a video will load instantly, but most of the time it's just this issue. Other sites that try to play content using HTML5 throw their own errors. I'll just be staring at a black box for anywhere from 1-5 minutes before the video finally starts up. ![]() It's not internet buffering if I try in any other browser they load instantly, and if I switch back to the flash player from the HTML5 player, same thing. The plugin generates a shortcode where you simply insert the URL of the video file you want to play. I'm running 47.0.1 Firefox, on 64-bit Windows 10, and when I am using the HTML5 player it takes ages for a video to load. For a long time now, I've been having issues with the Youtube HTML5 player in Firefox. I tried to attempt to only load a range of bytes (via setting the Range http header) which unfortunately failed (I'm assuming because there was no meta-data for the video coming with the video). I've seen a few other people have this question, but none of the solutions have worked for me, so I figured I'd post about it. It also seems worth noting that most normal requests due to HTML5 video requests seem to receive a 206 response code back while it streams, yet youtube's playvideo calls get a 200 back. ![]()
