![]() ![]() I just am not a fan of this type of digital asset management system.appropriately named DAM n system.īut the girlfriend likes it, makes it easy to share stuff and e-mail etc. I never did trust this iPhoto system from day one, which is why I continued with my directory structure based storage system where you had full control of the photos. ![]() but dont have a choice other than to delete it and rebuild the whole thing, 15,000 plus photos from scratch from my old original system where I imoprt to a folder by Year and month first then in to iphoto. But it depends what it defines as an Orphan? Does it find images with no thumbnails? or thumbnails with no associated image or video files? I'll try the scavange option in IPL and see what that does, thanks. I have a vague uneasy feelign I contradicted my self somewhere here, in dates/ times versions/ etc.but I can't really remember now.it has all been going on for so long. I think I may have been seeing two issues, permissions issues when imageshave been edited ,and also this issue with the video files. Both result in the File not found problem. Been gripes like this ever since day one, it is just something you have to get used to. To be honest, I can't remember a time when iPhoto or the Mac has ever run as smoothly as the the hype said it would. It has been like this for a year or more.longer even, so there has been so many files imported importing a few more cant do any more harm. I can re import the problem files in to the current library, or a new library, and they play just fine. Well I am not sure if doing the test as you describe will tell me anythign about my current library. The test I suggested in my last post would help ascertain if this is the case. I would not be importing anything to a library that has you know is damaged. If iPhoto is "lost" these files then the Library is corrupted. I would not regard it as relevant in this case. That Wordpres link is refers to a different version of the app running on a different OS from four years ago. ![]()
